SUNDAY JUNE 2nd EASTER 7 Sunday after Ascension Day
Parish Eucharist at 11:00am in SS Peter & Paul, Kirton.
Getting ready for Pentecost Sunday. What is the greatest need of the church today? Is it material things? No. The greatest need for the church today is to have a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of the living God. Why? So that we may bear witness to Jesus Christ in the midst of the world. We need the strength and the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we can be competent, fearless, confident, and articulate in proclaiming the gospel to the world. Almighty God, your ascended Son has sent us into the world to preach the good news of your kingdom: inspire us with your Spirit and fill our hearts with the fire of your love, that all who hear your Word may be drawn to you, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
